F1 replaces Emola with Madrid on 2026 calendar

The 24-race Formula 1 slate for 2026 has a grand prix in Madrid that converts Italy’s Emilia Romagna GP to Emola.
The Governing Body FIA approved the calendar on Tuesday during a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council.
The final race on the current contract of Imola was last month, won by world champion Max Verustapen four times.
The 2026 race in Madrid, which was first declared in 2024, is scheduled for 13 September.
The season opens in Melbourne, Australia on 8 March and runs from 6 December in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
There are three races on the US calendar: Miami (3 May), Austin, Texas (25 October) and Las Vegas (21 November).
