F1 expands Las Vegas Grand Prix through 2027

The Las Vegas Grand Prix will be on Formula 1 schedule through at least 2027 for confirmation of F1 on Saturday.

F1 officials and race organizers expressed both interest in placing the event on the calendar in the next decade.

“We collectively agree that we are going to expand two years for 2026 and ’27,” Las Vegas GP President Emily President said according to ESPN on Saturday. “We want to ensure that we are continue to develop what we are doing, but the intention is a very long period.

Clarke County, Nav., Has already confirmed the plan to organize the race through 2032.

Steve Hill, CEO and Chairman of Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, said, “The length of the extension is indeed nothing, besides what is going to happen in the next few years.”

“We are planning to have a permanent race on this, we will only keep plans for the extension that will probably move forward.”

The race is on the F1 calendar for the weekend before thanksgiving in 2025 (November 22) and 2026 (21 November).

According to Las Vegas data, the 2024 incident produced $ 934 million in revenue and raised $ 45 million in taxes.

The opening race, which included parts of the famous Las Vegas strip, occurred in 2023. Max Verustapen won the early Las Vegas GP for red bull racing and George Russell of Mercedes ended with podium in 2024.
