After opting to bowl first on an excellent batting track, the Nat-Sciver Brunt team found themselves behind the clock right from the very start.

Slow Over Rate the Reason for Fine

They were found two overs short of the target time, after the allowances were taken into consideration as well, as per a release by ICC. The release read, “The Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined five per cent of their match fee for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.”

The on-field umpires Jacqueline Williams and James Middlebrook, third umpire Sue Redfern, and fourth umpire Anna Harris leveled the charges, and were accepted by Nat Sciver-Brunt. The latter also accepted punishment, that meant, no formal hearing was needed.
