England captain Ben Stokes revealed the text message sent to Virat Kohli after his test retirement

England’s Test captain Ben Stokes recalled the cover drive of Batting Mestro Virat Kohli, a shot that would “live in memory for a long time” and highlight one aspect that India would recall about their stallwarts in the upcoming five high-day tests between the two sides. After retiring from the format of his long -time compatriot Rohit.
The 14 -year -long journey, firmness and heartbreak filled with success stories saw Virat how the audience accepted Test cricket.
Virat converted India into a result making machine during his memorable tenure in the whites. He was full of youth and experience in a team of aggression and fitness. In a career re-defying the demands of the game, Virat scored 9,230 runs at an average of 46.85 with 30 centuries and 31 fifty, and ended as India’s fourth largest run-run in the format.
Stokes said in a video posted by ECB, “He is incredible. He is entitled to all appreciation. There is no doubt, there is a lot of praise in India and here too. He has done well in England.”
One aspect of Virat’s game that impressed the captain of the English test was the most impressed by the ball by hitting the ball through the cover and said, “Especially in the formats of white balls, he is wow. One thing I will always remember that how difficult it is about Virat that he hits the ball through the cover, he will live longer in the cover drive memory.”
Virat’s cruel aggression and animated body language changed India’s mindset towards a game. With a picture of a 36 -year -old test, Stokes reminded about how much he likes to play against the Indian stallwart and “shame” that he would not get an opportunity to do so this time.
“I think what India will remember is their feeling of fighting on the field, their competition, their desire to win. Perhaps they have made number 18, we can never see it behind another Indian shirt. He is a pure class for so long. I read them saying that it is not to play against them at this time,” he said.
He said, “I love playing against Virat. We always like to play against each other because we share the same mindset on the field – this is a fight.”
Virat’s retirement from Red-Ball cricket marked the continuation of the tendency of migration from the test format in the Indian setup. Prior to Indian batting Bigwigs, luxurious frontline off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin called it a day in the middle of his international career through the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.
With India Threadbare in terms of challenging English conditions, Stokes is not ready to lighten the Asian veterans made lightly.
“One thing about India is that the batsmen have their battery; this is just incredible. The time I have spent in the IPL, they have found the batsmen leaving from there … Can’t say a word on it in this interview, but you know what I mean. You can never take any Indian team lightly, even if they are without their two great batsmen.”
