Former New Zealand’s Paer Tim Southee was appointed as an expert skills advisor to England on Thursday, until the end of the five -match Test series against India, the ECB announced on Thursday. India will start their tour to England with the first Test in Leeds on 20 June, and the tour will end at the Oval with 31 July-August 4 fifth Test. In December 2024, Southee retired from international cricket as New Zealand’s all -time prominent wickets.
Kiwi will join the squad before the early stability of England’s international season, a test against Zimbabwe that is running on Trent Bridge next Thursday.
“With his huge experience of playing in a wide range of conditions around the world and in all formats, he brings valuable insight and knowledge to the players.
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement, “After its consultancy stent, he will resume duties in a hundred for Birmingham Phoenix.”
36 -year -old Southee has taken 391 wickets from 107 Tests, 221 wickets from 161 Odis and 164 wickets from 126 T20i.
