Kentaki Derby Runner-up and early favorite journalism has prepared the number 2 post for the 150th runner of Saturday of the 2025 triple crown series, Prekness Stakes.
The historic race takes place on Saturday, 17 May at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. The post time is around 6:50 pm
Six of the nine horses entered into the search for a $ 2 million purse did not compete in the Kentaki Derby.
Journalism riding by Umeberto Rispoli is currently 8–5 top options. Sandman, who placed seventh position in Derby, will come out of number 7 hole and 4–1 is the second choice. Nominated for the song “Enter Sandman” by Rock Band Metalica, Sandman will be riding six times by Triple Crown winner John Valazakez.
Clever again, who did not compete in Louisville and are unused since March 30, currently 5–1 is the third choice. The 2015 triple crown winner will emerge from the place of American Farha, the son of Number 8.
The American Promise, who finished 16th in the Kentaki Derby, is the third horse traveled from Louisville to Baltimore.
There will be an entry in the race for the legendary trainer Bob Befurt. His horse’s target-oriented attracted the position of rail (number 1) and currently the choice of number 4 is 6–1.
The posts after 1-8 have produced at least 10 champions since 1909. Number 6 slot has produced the most winners in 17.
Last year’s champions, seize the gray, exiting the number 6 gate and won after being considered a longshot.
Sovereignty, the winner of 2025 Kentki Derby, is being organized out of the race by trainer Bill Mot, but will compete in Belmont Stax on 7 June.
