Disappointed Rishabh Pant has an animated chat with Zaheer Khan on LSG bench, video viral

Lucknow Super Veteran (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant was seen chatting with the team’s patron Zaheer Khan during his IPL 2025 match against Delhi Capital (DC) on Tuesday. Pants dropped themselves to number seven and faced only two balls before bowling by Mukesh Kumar at the final delivery of LSG’s innings. The decision of the pants to demot itself was severely criticized, as LSG was criticized for the loss of eight-wickets to LSG DC. During the LSG’s innings, a camera spot pants, which was padded to bat, was having an intense chat with Zaheer.

After the loss, Pant admitted that his team was less than an equal score.

“We knew that we were 20 runs,” said Pant. “In Lucknow, the toss plays a big role. Anyone who is bowling first gets a lot of help from the wicket. We just had to stay back, we could not just remove it.”

In the November auction, he went to Lucknow for a record bid of Rs 27 crore, the pants have scored 106 runs in eight innings with a highest score of 63.

Chasing a modest 160 for the victory, DC shared a second wicket with Abishek Porl to hit 51 with 13 balls riding on a knock off 42 balls of Rahul and 13 balls with 13 balls in Lucknow’s home ground.

Delhi, with six wins in eight matches, from their previous defeat to Table-Toppers, bounced back to Gujarat Titans and ranked second in the 10-Team table.

Pacer Mukesh Kumar won with his four wickets as he helped LSG back 87–0-4 and then under the total qul-kul of 159-6.

Delhi captain Axar Patel said, “Once we took two quick wickets, we gained momentum and all the bowlers did well to ban him for less than 160.”
