The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Friday received a danger email, claiming to have an explosion at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi in vengeance for the ongoing Operation Sindoor conducted by the Indian Armed Forces against Pakistan. The Arun Jaitley Stadium was threatened with a bomb through email on Friday morning, and a police complaint was lodged, a top DDCA official told IANS. “There will be a bomb blast in your stadium. We have a committed Pakistan sleeper cell active in India. This explosion will be a replacement of our operation sindoor,” it is written in the mail. The place hosted the domestic matches of Delhi Capital in IPL 2025 before the BCCI was suspended for a week on Friday. The Arun Jaitley Stadium was scheduled to host their final match of the season against Gujarat Titans on 11 May, but now it has been suspended after the BCCI’s decision.

On Thursday, Pakistan launched air strikes on several military stations near the Western border along with Jammu, but those people were successfully thwarted by the air defense systems of India.

Pakistan attempted a strike, including drones and missiles, triggering blackouts and sirens in several areas in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan. The officials urged the residents to stay indoors and were cautious due to the active emergency protocols.

The attacks in Pakistan are in vengeance for operation sindoor by the Indian Armed Forces on the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, from where an attack on tourists in Pahgam was planned. The terrorists killed 26 tourists – 25 Indians and a Nepali citizen near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, Indian cricket team head coaches Gautam Gambhir and Pesar Mohammed Shami were threatened with death after an email after a terrible terrorist attack.
