Delhi Capital’s co-owner triggers IPL schedule changes Ro, urges BCCI to shift to Match vs Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians (MI) face partner IPL 2025 playoff Hopfools Delhi Capital (DC), knowing that a win will guarantee them the top four finish. On the other hand, DC needs to avoid defeat to survive in the tournament. Both teams have two games left, after 12 league games after a point with DC (13) from one point with Mi (14). However, the high-day stability may be affected by the rain by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) after issuing a yellow warning to Mumbai on Tuesday evening for the next four days.

DC co-owner Partha Jindal wrote an email to the BCCI to transfer the match to a separate city as “the virtual quarter-finals are also expected to be washed”.

Jindal’s request came after the stability of RCB’s house against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), as due to “adverse weather conditions”, was transferred from Bengaluru to Lucknow.

Jindal wrote in the mail, “The forecast in Mumbai is for heavy rains and there is a strong possibility that the game will be washed.”

Jindal said that it would be “consistent”, then to move the Mi-DC match.

“Just as the game between RCB vs SRH has been taken out of Bengaluru in search of continuity and in the interest of the league, it is my request that tomorrow’s game should also be taken to a different place because we know for a better part of 6 days that the 21st forecast in Mumbai is for heavy rainfall,” he said.

According to Espncricinfo, the rain reached Mumbai at around 8 pm on Tuesday, and DC wicketkeeper Batter KL Rahul was reduced as a result of the practice session. By then, Mumbai Indians had completed their session. For most of the evening, Mumbai experienced a heavy decline with black clouds, hovering at the Wankhed Stadium.

If the stability is rejected, both teams will move with the same point, and everything will last on their final group phase stability. Mumbai will host PBK at the site of his house on 26 May, while DC will shut the horns against the same team at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on 24 May.

The Mumbai -based franchise is currently placed in number four with seven wins (14 points) in its 12 matches, while the Axer Patel -led side ranks fifth with 13 points in 12 matches.
