Defenders handle Battlehox, advance for UFL title game

Jordan Tamu was passed for 204 yards and DC Defenders as a touchdown upgraded the UFL title game with a 36–18 win over hosts St. Louis Battalhox on Sunday in the final of the XFL conference.

Defenders will face Michigan Panthers for the League Championship on Saturday at Dome at the US center at St. Louis. Panthers knocked 44-29 hosts Birmingham Stallian on the first Sunday in the final of the USFL conference on Sunday.

The Ta’amu was passing 18 -to -26 with a TD pass for Seth Williams for the first score of the game at 6:21 of the first quarter.

Defenders, who run Don Jackson back, performed 21 carries at a distance of 109 yards, consisting of 2-yard touchdowns in the second quarter and a 5-yard score in the fourth, which put DC in front of 32–12. DC’s 187 Rushing Yard was the highest in this season.

Battlehox, who entered the league-Best average of the 144.4 rushing yard per game, was held for 83. Jacob Sayler was running for 45 yards and a score.

Battlehox ran the quarterback Max Duggan for 33 yards and a touchdown and passed 7 -14 for 105 yards and a interception. Brandon Silver was 6 out of 10 for 81 yards, including TD pass to Hakim Butler for 12 yards.

DC Defense recorded five sacks, nine to deal with, a blockage and a fambal recovery.
