Deback near Justin Martinez for the season with UCL Machine

Arizona’s pitching staff took another hit as the right -hand closure is done on Friday with a sprain collateral ligament in its right elbow for the Justin Martinease season.

Diamondback manager Tori Lovulo said on Friday, MLB Network Radio said that Martinez is still seeking a second opinion on the next stages, but said that he is expected to remember 12 to 13 months.

Prior to this season, Martinez was placed in the 15-day wounded list with correct shoulder inflammation, but it looked completely on Seattle Meriners until Monday’s game.

Finally in a win of 8–4, Martinez hit two and one went when he suddenly went to the middle of the next-bate and left the game, reporting tightness in the right elbow. A UCL sprain was detected in a later MRI examination and sent Martinez to 15-day IL on Tuesday.

Diamondback currently has eight pitches on IL, including four out for the season with UCL injuries: Corbin Burns, Jordan Montgomery, Black Walston and now martinezes.

Additionally, Martinez’s co-coach AJ Puck was placed on the 60-day injured list on 1 May due to inflammation of the left elbow and could return in early July. Three other – Christian Mena (shoulder), Kendal Gravman (Hip), Christian Montess Day Oka (Elbow) – is not a timetable for return.

Martinez converted into a reliever after returning from Tommy John Surgery in 2021.

The 23-year-old is 1-2 with five savings and this season 17 is 4.11 ERA in showing show.

It is 6-8 with 14 sews and 3.77 ERA in 91 career relief shows with Arizona.
