Dean Kremer tossed seven scorer innings as Oriols under Marlins

Baltimore Starter Dean Kremer visited Miami Marlins in three singles in seven shutouts as Oriols won 5–2 in the opener of Friday night’s series.

Kremer (8-7) went one and hit seven in 99-pitch outings. He matched the total victory of last year.

Yenier Cano worked in eighth place, although Baltimore was denied the third shutout in less than a month in the ninth.

Both Jordan Westberg and Ramon Laureno rapped three hits, and Ryan O’Harn did two hits. The three blamed all the Baltimore runs.

Oriols have won six of their last seven matches, and they are 3–1 on homestand.

Marlins has its first three-game losing streak in more than a month after losing the last two days in Cincinnati.

Marlins Starter Edward Cabrera (3-4) conceded four runs on eight hits in four innings. He hit six without walking.

Otto Lopez hit a two -run homer in ninth place from Andrew Kitredage. Lopez, Connor Norbby, and East-Orious Kail Stores hit Miami from Cramer.

Jackson Holiday first led Baltimore and scored on Westberg’s single. O’Harn’s double was brought in the next run.

O’Harn sang in the third innings in the next run, before Laurano knocked in Gunnar Henderson.

Tyler Philips worked two scorer innings from Miami’s Bulpen.

Then the two-out single in the seventh of Laureno made it 5–0.
