David Festa, Twins Shut Down al-Best Tigers

Biren Buxon hit a single homer and David Festa played a 5 2/3 scorer innings, as Minnesota Twins dropped the Detroit Tigers 4–1 on Friday night.
Brook Lee scored two runs, Willy Castro scored one run and knocked in the other and Buxon scored two runs as Twins won their third straight straight after the five-game losing streak.
Festa (2–2) allowed just two hits and hit six tigers, which have the best record in the American League. Jhoan Duran made his 12th savings by receiving the last three outs in the three-game set opener.
Gliber Torres made two hits and ran in loan tigers runs. Starter Sawyer Gypson-Long (0–1) scored three runs on four hits and scored two runs in 5 1/3 innings, while recorded five strikeouts.
Tigers were threatened in another. Spencer Torkelson was hit by a pitch and Dillon Dingler did two-two-one single. Parker was retired on a check-swing comeback for Meadows Festa.
Minnesota stuck two runners in the third, then broke into the fourth. Matt Walner killed Lee for two each before doubling Lee for the first run of the competition.
Twins made it 2–0 in the next innings on Buxon’s two-out Homer, which traveled to an estimated 425 feet.
Minnesota worked on one run in the sixth. Castro went, stole the second and went to third place on a wild pitch. After walking with one with Ty France, Lee attended the center to score Castro.
Minnesota took a 4–0 lead in the seventh. Buxton went, stole the second and went to third place on a groundout. He scored on the sacrifice distribution of Castro.
Detroit implicated two runners in the seventh, then reached the scoreboard in the eighth.
Colt Keith made three times with one and scored on Torres’s RBI single. The single of Zach McKinstry put the runners on the corners. MCKINSTRY stole another, but the reliever Griffin Jacks responded by taking out relay green and Torkelson to end the innings.
