Houston Dash agreed to expand a contract with the forward Messiah Bright through the 2026 season.
The deal declared on Wednesday includes a team option for 2027 for a 25 -year -old Texas native.
After coming into a January trade with Angel City FC, bright has appeared in 10 matches for Houston this season.
“The Messiah brings a hungry to grow a fearless mentality, which perfectly fits with the culture created in Houston,” the dash president of the football Angela Hucles Mangano. “We have felt both on the field and outside this season and we are ready to see him developing both as a player and a person.”
Dash scored his first goal for Houston on 24 May, with Bay FC with 2–2 draw.
He has eight goals and has a assistance in 53 NWSL Games with Orlando Pride (2023), ACFC (2024) and Dash.
