Dansbi Swansan, Sea Suzuki Homeers inspires cubs over Marlins

Dansbi Swansan and Seya Suzuki hit the two-rorn home run to highlight the fifth innings of five runs and on Monday night a three-game series opener won the Chicago cub 5–2 to go to Miami Marlins in the opener.
Miguel Amaya moved to 3 -for -3 with two doubles and one run, finishing with two hits and Kyle Tucker tripped an RBI for the cub, who conquered her franchise record by conquering her seventh straight home series opener to start a season.
Colin Ri (3–0) won, leading to two runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings. Drew Pomeranz gave a scorch to reach his first savings and 10th position of his career. This was Pomeranz’s first savings since 2020.
Derek Hill prepared for Miami, who suffered its second direct loss in the last five matches and faced the fourth. Cal Quantrill (2–4) suffered losses for Marlins, leading to three runs on four hits in 4 1/3 innings. He went two and hit one.
The cubs held by Quantrill to make just one hit in the first four innings were taking a 5–0 lead for five runs on five hits in the fifth.
Nico Horner started a rally with one leadoff single and then stole another. Swansan took him into a tie with Francisco Lindor, New York Met’s, for the left-centers with a 400-foot house, in his ninth place of the season, the most by a shortstop in Major.
Amaya then drilled her second double of the game under the left field line and later scored two outs on Tucker’s triple 3–0 in the Right Field Corner. Suzuki, with his 10th home run, took the 413-foot drive to the left-center.
Marlins cut it 5–2 in the seventh, when Hill hit his second domestic run, which was driving in Ronnie Simon, who sang.
