Arizona Diamondback on Tuesday placed outfielder Corbin Carol in the injured list and recalled outfielder Jake Macarthi from Triple-e-Reno.
Carol was killed by a pitch of Justin Brohl of Toronto Blue Jais last week, in which Diamondback Manager Tori Lovulo revealed on Monday that the team’s star outfielder came to know about the chip fracture in his left wrist.
A timetable for Carol’s return is unknown.
The 24-year-old Carol had a breakout season in 2023, won the National League Ruki of the Year, NL All-Star team and the most valuable player finished fifth in voting.
In 417 Career Games, Carol has a .488 slugging percentage .257 batting average, as well as 71 domestic runs, 35 triple, 208 RBI and 101 stolen hideouts. He led NL in Triple in each of the last two sessions.
The 27 -year -old Macarthi was just 3 -for -41 in 14 matches with Arizona this season. He was batting with a home run in 49 matches in Reno and 16 RBI.
McCarthi is a career, struggling with incompatibility in the plate since the introduction of its major league for diamondback in 2021. 263 in 20 domestic runs, 122 RBI and 78 stolen bases in 278 Career Major League Games. 263 Hoter.
