The recent loss of the Chicago cub is a common theme: the inability to produce with the runners at the base. This is something that will be seen to fix on Saturday on Saturday when they host Pittsburgh Pirates in the third matchup of a four-game set.

The cubs implicated nine runners and went on 0-for-10 with the runners in a scoring position in a 2–1 10-inning necklace on Friday. On Wednesday, in the 7–2 defeat in Philadelphia Philos, he left seven on the base and was 1-for-7 with a chance to score. Earlier, the disadvantage (4-3 in 11 innings against Philadelphia on Monday) left eight to eight on the base, while the scoring situation was going 1-for-8 with the runners.

“Look, we want a good process, that’s what you can control,” said Cubes Manager Craig Counsel. “But it always involves swinging on balls – the right pitch – so that no matter who is pitching, it is always the same.”

Seiya Suzuki was the only cub batsman to connect to several hits on Friday, with an accounting for six others.

One of them was Pete Crow-Arcestrong, who hit nine out of 11 matches in June. The Center Fielder has not gone more than two games without a hit this season.

Chicago’s pitcher Jameson Tillan said, “There is no clear way to attack him,” Cro-Armystrong said after the cub’s 3–2 victory against Pittsburgh. “We all thought he was going to hit big leagues, but Shakti is crazy. He is putting the balls back to the seats against good, tough pitches.”

Matthew Boyd (5-3, 2.89 ERA) will take the mound for the cub on Saturday.

The left-handed batsman, who on Monday scored two runs on eight hits in six innings during a no-air against Philips, would be looking for his first career victory against the pirates. It is 0-3 with 6.53 ERA in six career. On April 30, Boyd bowled five innings of two runs at the No-Child in Pittsburgh.

Meanwhile, Pirates would be looking at a successful stretch, which has seen him winning seven of his last 10 matches. Four of them were decided by one run.

ISIAH Kiner-Falefa is associated with a game-winning run on Friday, which driving into the Automatic runner Adam Frazier with a 10th-inning sacrifice fly. The 30 -year -old veteran is starting to find his way after bypassing a right hamstring tension in early May, after finishing either second or third place last year at the shortstop this season.

“We have to go a long way,” said Kaneer-Felfa. “Working on it every day, still getting used to coming back to the shortstop. Therefore, you have those games and do some plays, just produce speed. Just do the best by doing the best I can do out of there, and I think it will be better.”
