Cubs excited to return Shota Imanaga in Finale vs. card

Left -handed Shota Imnaaga will return to the Rotation of Chicago cubs on Thursday afternoon on Thursday afternoon.
The cubs have lost five of their last seven competitions entering the conclusion of the four-game road series against St. Louis Cardinals.
Cardinals won 8–2 from 8-7 to 8-7 on Monday night 8–7 and 8-7 on Wednesday night.
Imanaga (3-2, 2.82 ERA) has been sidelined since suffering from Hamstring Strain on 4 May. Before the injury, he allowed two out of six of his eight runs or less.
Pitcher Jameson Tillan, who started Chicago, started the last Minor League Rehab of Emmanga on Friday and liked what he saw.
“From looking at his outing, he is right,” Talel told Mlb.com. “I think we are going to get a very good version of Shota back, which is super exciting, as he is one of the best pitches in baseball.”
Cubcut pitching coach Tommy Hotovi said the possibility of Imanaga would need some time to settle back to big companies.
“There are going to be things that need to continue working in the shot, as he is coming back,” Hottovy told MLB.com. “But just getting him back and coming back with a group of people, what he brings to the table and is just that consistent person, that too, it’s great.”
Imanaga is 1–0 against St. Louis in his career with a 3.29 ERA.
In search of to improve their production against left -arm pitching, Cardinals claimed the right -handed player Garat Hampson from Cincinnati Reds in time for the last two matches of this series.
Hampson batted ninth in the center area on Wednesday. He came to the best season in 2023, when he hit a .729 Oms. 276 for Miami Marlins. He hit 11 homes and stole 17 locations for Colorado Rockies in 2021.
“He causes a lot of problems at the hideouts, and it is really good for us,” said Nolan Aranado, the third basement of cardinals. “When he is at the locations, the pitches know about it. They are a little worried.”
Outfielder Jordan Walker usually played against the left hand pitcher, but is sidelined with appendicitis. The Walker landed at the 10-day IL, and the Infielder Jose Fermine arrived from the Triple-A Memphis to replace it.
“Recovery very quickly, but he is still going down for four or five days,” the manager of the cardinals Oliver Marmol said about the walker. “It was understood to rest and re -build it. It’s not going to be an extended period.”
Cardinals pushed the right hand Andre Pallantte (5-3. 4.48 ERA) a day back on Thursday to start with extra comfort. Pallende is coming out of its best beginning of the season, after emptying Reds for six innings on just three hits in a 6–1 win on Friday.
The 10-career performance against Palentte Cub is 0–2 with 2.45 ERA, including three beginnings.
