CSK is interested in Sanju Samson for IPL 2026, but the business option for RR was not fixed

Sanju Samson has emerged as one of the most demanded players in the IPL, and the INR 18 CR was maintained by RR.

Earlier, there were only speculation that RR captain Sanju Samson could be traded in CSK before IPL 2026, but now, according to a report by Cricbuzz, the Chennai-based franchise has confirmed that they are open to welcome the keeper-batter for the team. A senior CSK official said no formal communication with the RR management was started, however.

CSK needs Sanju Samson Keeper-Better

“We are definitely looking at Sanju. He is an Indian batsman who is a protector and a opener. So if he is available, we will definitely take a look at the option to be in our folds. We will trade with him.

But who goes out?

But the problem for CSK can be that in return which player can they offer RR? Sanju Samson was the top retention for RR on 18 CR, while it was Ruturaj Gikwad at the same price for CSK. And CSK coach Stephen Fleming has long maintained that Gaikwad was made the captain with a long -term scene.

Earlier, there were also reports that CSK R could trade with Ashwin and Shivam Dubey, just to get a Sanju Samson in his team. Historically, CSKs are not really those who use these business windows the best, and one of their very notable people came in 2021, when he got Robin Uthappa from RR.

RR to take a call

On the other hand, RR management has completed a review meeting of IPL 2025 in London in the presence of head coach Rahul Dravid. It seems that the management focuses on various requests from the franchise, and Sanju Samson is not the only one on the specialist. An Indian keeper-better that bats at number 6-no one focuses any focus like Dhruv Jurael.

Saying that, the trade deal is never likely to arrive soon, the report concluded in the report.
