Former India batsman Akash Chopra has urged Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to trade all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who has long served all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja between his struggles to contribute both the bat and the ball this season. The former CSK captain has scored just 280 runs in 13 matches this season, while claiming only eight wickets in the same period. CSK captain MS Dhoni claimed that Chopra’s comment had come that the franchise was already watching in the future, failing to qualify for the IPL playoffs in the back-to-back season.

Dhoni insisted that CSK needs to do zero at the next auction on the combination of his team with an eye.

“It is required to find out which person will have good slots next year. There is a need to work on our bowling. Once we were out of the tournament, we wanted to find answers for the next year. Combination and some players need to be seen that we can choose in auction,” Dhoni accepted the Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday after damage.

Chopra also suggested that CSK should release its Kiwi pair Rachin Rabindra and Devon Conway, and someone should be kept like a developed bravis, which has done great since the inclusion of injury to the team as a replacement of injury.

“I would say that maybe do her business (Jadeja). You have a Developed Brevis as your No. 4. Bat it at number 4. It has a stop-gap arrangement in 3 with Davon Conway and Ayush Matre and Urvil Patel.

“Why would you like Ruturaj Gikwad would like to bat with someone who will not go to the hammer and tongs? 3 is Uril Patel, but another man. Either get a finisher or top order.
