Cricket will return to the Olympics for the first time in 128 years when men and women’s T20 tournaments are held in Los Angeles in 2028.

Great Britain defeated France in a two -day game in Paris in 1900, but the game has caught the game, but it will turn into California in three years.

So what do we know till now how will the cricket work in the Olympics?

when is it?

We do not yet know the accurate dates for cricket competitions in La 2028, but the game will run from July 14-30 and in total 36 sports – and 351 events – will be held in total.

The 2024 Paris Olympics are followed by flag football and squash before joining cricket as new additions, along with returning baseball/softball and lacros.

where is?

The cricket matches will be played at a temporary stadium in Pomona, which will be played on an hour -long drive and 50 km east of Los Angeles from a village of a city in southern California.

The site known as Fairplex is a place of 500 acres, year-to-year, which has hosted the Los Angeles County Fair since 1922 as well as concerts, sports and more.

ECB has allegedly held preliminary talks with Cricket Scotland to send a team GB to LA.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) recently announced that the cricket tournament will have six teams with squads from 15 players.

Qualification Pathway has not been announced, but it is believed that the England and Wales Cricket Board have interacted with Cricket Scotland to field GB side.

What is included in the United States, an officer is yet to be seen with telling Roots: “You would like to send the top six teams to men and women ideally, which is why it is difficult to say whether America will play.

“They are not a complete member (of the ICC), but, being the Olympic host, the US claims to be naturally, which gives it a difficult decision.”

India’s great Virat Kohli refused to return to the T20 internationally after retiring from that format after his country’s T20 World Cup win in 2024, although it was jokingly stated that he could “return for a game, get a medal and go home” India should finalize.

We will not look at the full West Indies team as the Caribbean nations act as separate states in the global sports.

When women’s cricket was held at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Barbados represented the region after coming through a qualifying process.

Now why for cricket in Olympics?

Thomas Bakh, president of the outgoing IOC, spoke of “the growing popularity of cricket, especially T20 format”, when the game was approved, in which the attractive Indian Premier League is largely responsible for that part of the game.

The organizers have been eager to use cricket to increase India’s interest in the Olympics due to the available commercial opportunities.

The game is growing in the United States, with the part of Major League cricket, 2024 T20 World Cup and Domestic T20 competition held in the country – which have franchises located in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Dallas and Washington, DC – to host their third season in this summer.

Will it be united for cricket in sports?

It is expected that cricket will be retained for 2032 Games in Brisbane.

The final match is likely to be held in Gabba in the final, before the stadium was demolished and a new 60,000-plus-seater cricket site in the city.

Finally, what happened back in 1900?

The Great Britain and France were the only teams to compete at the Cricket Event, with the semi-finals scrapped after the Netherlands and Belgium retreated.

The GB won the 12-A side game by 158 runs at Velodrome de Wincans after the France’s scialing for 26 in his second innings, although only five minutes left.

Interestingly, Britain was initially awarded the silver medal and France bronze, before it was later upgraded to gold and silver respectively.

Both sides also found short versions of Eiffel Tower.
