“Cowardice …”: Hardik Pandya has a big statement on Pahalgam attack because players wear black armbands

Players and match officials saw a one -minute silence and wore black armband, as the celebrations were usually started for the IPL game on Wednesday to mourn the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahgam. As a mark of honor of the victims, tonight the captain of the teams in action – Hardik Pandya for Mumbai Indians and Pat Cummins for Sunrisers Hyderabad condemned the attack in which at least 26 people were killed. The Indian national anthem was played before the beginning of the game and soon after, the players united in a minute’s silence.
Apart from this, there were no cheerleaders and fireworks on the performance. No music was played between the balls, but a complete house at the HCA Stadium meant that every time the ball was very noise when crossed the border. The Findscreen Reid ‘Let’s All Stand Peace and Humanity’.
In the toss, Cummins and Hardik showed solidarity with the families of the victims.
Hardik said, “I would like to express my condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack. I and my team strongly condemn the cowardly attack.”
Cummins said: “This is also a shocking for us, our thoughts are with the victims and their families.” The commentators did their work by explaining the importance of black armbands, while paying an on-air tribute to those who have shook the country.

Resistance Morcha (TRF), which is a part of the banned Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group, claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack has strongly condemned the world.
The BCCI also issued a statement to condemn the “horrific and coward” attack.
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said, “The cricket community is deeply surprised and suffering from the tragic loss of innocent people in the fierce terrorist attack yesterday in the Kalgam.”
He said, “On behalf of BCCI, condemning this frightening and stronger words with the strongest possible words, I expand my heartiest condolences to the unemployed families and prayers for the departed souls. In sharing our pain and sorrow, we are standing in hand in hand in this hour of tragedy,” he said.
The Indian cricket team provoked bilateral cricket with Pakistan after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks and recently refused to visit the country for the Champions Trophy, inspiring the ICC to make provisions for a neutral site in Dubai.
