Sonoma, California. – At the conclusion of Pitt Boss/FoodMaxX 250 in Sonoma Raceway, the disciple gave the master’s schooling to the master.
After taking a shot after a shot from JR Motorsports team partner Shane Wan Gisbergen on the last two laps, Connor Zilisk closed his third NASCAR XFINITY Series of the season and closed the more experienced driver to claim the fourth place of his career.
Poll winner, zilisk and van gisbergen, in two-drainage shows, to lead 70 of 79 laps jointly, to surrender the top location, when they short-hit the first and second steps to fix the position of the track on stage brakes.
For the zilisk, Jeet was avenged by last Saturday’s exfinity race at the Chicago Street Course, where 36-year-old Van Gisbergen widen his 18-year-old team partner in Turn 2 and won two-lap shootouts for victory.
But on this Saturday, the Zilisk attended the final lap in Turn 7 in touch with the front bumper of the van Gisbergen and won the race for the finish line, as New Josender tried wasteful to cross from the inside in the hairpin turn 11 on the final lap.
The zilisk operated from the corner and won the race for 0.438 seconds in the finish line.
“First of all, she hates Shane,” the zilisk said after climbing from her car. “It was a good one.” All the races were long, I felt as if we were running with respect to each other. I took a little wheel a little in turn 7 times and came inside. Otherwise, finally it was great to run against him and fight with him throughout the race. ,
Both Zilisch and Van Gisbergen succeeded in pulling away from the rest of the field while saving fuel during the final phase.
“This is always the most difficult attempt to save fuel, while someone has breathed your neck, Zilisk said.” There was a chance that he could get me when he used to kill me, but he allowed me to do it and cleaned me. I respect her hell for her, and I am eager to run against her.
“We are going to run each other in Watkins Glenn, and this is one of my favorite tracks, so I hope I can beat him again.”
Van Gisbergen knew that when his number 9 Chevrolet had contacted Turn 7 with number 88 of the zilisk, he had inaugurated one, but he returned to play the race.
Defending race winner Van Gisbergen said, “I gave him a collision in 7, and that wheel went, and I might have taken it, but I just waited.” “I didn’t want to do it, and then we got down from the hill. Is there a terrible race.
“I had an explosion all day – in fact, really fun.”
For van Gisbergen, Zilisscy made 46 laps to 24, which was trying to win its third straight NASCAR after sweeping in Chicago in the previous weekend.
Concrete work on the pit road gave control of the race for the final restarted on Lap 51, and led the rest of the way, thwarting the SVG’s consistent efforts to create pressure on a mistake.
William Solich, who won Friday’s Arka Race in a thrilling Finnish, was the best of the rest, the third at home, coming back 13.668 seconds. Nick Sanchez finished fourth, followed by Relay Herbst, Series Leader Justin Oldier, Taylor Gray, Carson Quapil, Sammy Smith and Sheldon Creed.
With Allgaare, Kvapil and Smith joining Zilisch and Van Gisbergen, JR Motorsports placed five drivers in the top nine. This season was a victory for the 19 races in 19 races, in which Zilisk gave Ongier and 12th -ranked Finisher Austin Hill for the series with three wins.
“I didn’t want anything dirty to win this race, and I am happy that I didn’t make it fair and shocking,” Zilisk said. “I learned a lot of racing around him, and he got so many years of experience that I can learn.”
