Pitman went to the ground during the 11 -on -11 play, but it was not clear that it was from contact. He stayed down for a few seconds and then closed on his own. He later went to the locker room with a member of the team’s medical staff and did not return to practice.

He revealed in April that he played through a fragmented bench that it was eventually determined that surgery would not be required. He told Indianapolis Star that the doctors approved him in March.
For his career, Pitman has 4,470 yards and 405 catches for 18 TDs. His best season was in 2023, when he held 109 passes for 1,152 yards and four TDs.
Indianapolis selected Pitman in the second round of 2020 NFL drafts (34th overall).
