Colts QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder) to Miss MiniCamp

Colts Quarterback Anthony Richardson enhanced the AC joint in his right shoulder and would not participate in the next week’s minicamp, the head coach Shane Stechen announced on Thursday.
Richardson reported agony and would relax his sick shoulder, the same that requires AC joint surgery in 2023.
According to Stichen, this time surgery is not estimated, who said that the plan is to return to Richardson’s training camp “at some point”.
“Doctors, instructors investigated it,” Stechen explained. “He has increased some increase in his AC joint. So we are about to sit out of him this week. Obviously, he will sit out for Minicamps. We will see that when he comes back. There is no timetable for the training camp on him, but when he comes back, we will make it easier to throw him, and then we will go away. The good thing is that he does not need a process right now.”
Richardson, the fourth overall pick of the 2023 NFL draft, is expected to fight Daniel Jones for the first quarterback job of Colts this season.
“Obviously, it’s disappointing, but he is in good souls,” said Stechen. “So we are working through it right now.”
The 23-year-old Richardson entered his third season with 15 with his belt (8-7 records), 50.6 percent of completion, 11 touchdown pass, 10 rushing touchdowns, 13 interstitial and 12 fambal (four lost).
He completed 47.7 percent of his passes in 2024, historically the worst between an accuracy perspective and the NFL is easily the worst between the beginning. He had 10 or less perfections in six of the 11 matches that appeared last season.
