Colt Keith hit a tiebracing two-rol homer in the seventh and hosts Detroit Tigers on Tuesday night extended the streak of their victory with a 4–2 win over Tampa Bay rays.
Keith also had an RBI single for Detroit, who would go for a three-game sweep on Wednesday afternoon. Spencer Torkelson ran for other tigers.
Pitcher Jack Fleharti gave two runs in 6 1/3 innings and scored eight runs. Tommy Kahanal (1–1) scored two out and won. Will West hit three in the ninth for his 15th Save.
Roys Starter Ryan Pepiot conceded two runs in six innings with six strikes. Jonathan Aranda drove and scored both rays.
Aranda gave the rays a initial lead as the second batsman of the game, raising a flahrhti fastball on the right field wall for her 11th homer.
There were two on Tampa Bay and no one was out in the other, but Fleharti survived the jam. He was not so lucky in the third, as Aranda smoked one double and Josh Lov brought her home with two-out single.
Detroit implicated two Beserners at the bottom of the inning, but until Torkelson club his 21st homer with one in the fourth, there was no hit. He took advantage of a hanging peepiot slider.
The tigers tied it to 2 in the fifth. Matt Vieling went to Zach McKinstry and stole the second before hitting the pitch for the second time in the competition. Later, Keith knocked into McKinstry with a single, but the wireing was caught in a randon in the play.
The tigers took the lead in the seventh. McIntry stole the other once again before Keith’s two-outs, Edwin shot him by two runs from him. Keith mashed a change on the wall of the right area.
Detroit loaded the bases against Eric Orz and made a hit from the pitch against Eric Orz, but the Orz took out McMantiry and Wiring and left the runners.
