Colin Blackwell’s OT goal stars also helps series with AVS

Colin Blackwell scored 17:46 in overtime to win 4–3 in Colorado avalanche on Monday in Game 2 of her first round Stanley Cup playoff series.
The best-seven Western Conference series is on par with series 1–1, with a game 3 set on Wednesday in Denver.
In Game 1, a healthy scratch, blackwell was inserted into a lineup and gave the first playoff overtime winner of his seven -year NHL career (and just his second playoff goal). Blackwell’s initial shot was blocked by Teammate Sam Steel, but Blackwell then submitted his rebound for the goal.
Blackwell said, “We lost the first game, but come in the playoffs, () the most desperate team usually wins every night.” “… our friends showed a lot of heart there, of course in the third period (later) we scored a goal in the second period.”
Steel had two assistance for his third career multi-point playoff game.
Evageni Dadonov, Thomas Harley and Tyler Segin scored for stars in regulation. Jake Oatter stopped 34 of 37 shots, leaving back after a hard-hand defeat in Game 1.
Logan O’Coner had a target and a support for Colorado. Jack Dori and Nathan McKinon scored other avalanche goals.
McKenzie Blackwood stopped 35 out of 35 shots, making several outstanding stops against an aggressive Dallas attack.
The avalanche coach Zred Bedner said, “We misbehaved in the third period or a little more than a little.
“A lot of these (games) were very beautiful played. This life is when you are playing a team like Dallas stars. We should be better than the third (period).”
Colorado opened scoring at a power play at 8:48 in the first period. Macinon found a place inside the left circle, then shot a well -kept wrist.
With just 54 seconds in the first period, Segin created a power-play marker for equal. This was the first goal of Segin since November 29, as he missed the forward 58 games in a regular session recovering from hip surgery.
The teams exchanged goals within a interval of 62 seconds in the second period. Harley temporarily gave Dallas his first lead of the series at 3:40, but Dr. quickly covered the score at the 4:42 mark.
Following the final-minute target of Segin in the first period, O’Coner hit even more deeply into the second frame with a spectacular target at the 19:27 mark. During being drawn down by the Dallas Forward Mason march, the O’Coner still had sufficient strength and took advantage of changing a backhand effort from the slot.
Dadonov again equaled 10:13 in the third period. Witch Johnson’s early shot was stopped by Blackwood, but Dadonov was to jam in the rebound in front of the net.
“We are just playing the game correctly,” Blackwell said. “By putting the dish behind their (defense), we can do them every time. And this was the formula, especially going into overtime, knowing that (if) we just cook in the right areas, some are about to bounce in our way.”
