LTA North of the League of Legends tournament at Cloud 9 Los Angeles became the third team to improve 2–0 in Split 2, defeating Leon 2–1 in the last match of week 5 on Sunday.

100 thieves also won on Sunday, defeating Dignitas 2–0 to extend both Group B teams 1-1. Flycuest Group B has the same team 2–0, while the team is tied with Group A with Liquid Cloud 9.

Eight teams competed in positioning plays-one round-robin format in which each team plays one other seven times. Each match was a map and the results were determined for the group A and B for the group phase, which began from 26 April and lasts till 18 May.

After the group play and a week-long cross-group battles, the top six teams will proceed to the best-five, double-elimination playoffs on May 15, May 24 on May 15.

The total prize pool is $ 160,000, with $ 80,000 going to the winner and $ 40,000 is for a runner-up. The winner also gets entry into the mid-season invitational and qualify for the winner and runner-up asports World Cup.

Week 6 next Saturday opens between Cloud 9 and Team Liquid with Group A, followed by a 100 thief vs. Shopif rebellion in Group B.
