Christian “Chicho” Arngo scored his MLS lead-tying eighth goals and San Jose earthquakes won 2–0 over hosts Colorado Rapids on Saturday night in Commerce City, Kolo.

Dijuan Jones added his first goal since joining San Jose (5-6-1, 16 points), a match after providing his first two assistance for Quake in a 4–1 domestic win over Portland Timbers.

Daniel created five stops to keep his first clean sheet since a 4–0 domestic victory over Real Salt Lake at the season opener.

It also completed Quake’s first back-to-back league win since its first two matches, while Colorado (4-4-4, 16 points) fell for a second direct defeat and raised its winning run into four matches.

Jones was excellent in its position on the right flank and did a lot of setup work on its starting target in the first half stop time.

It began when he estimated the Colorado Pass that it was draped from the right flank to disrupt the San Jose to attack half of the San Jose and played the ball to Costa on the left side.

Costa pulled back a return cross towards the penalty spot, and Jones arrived as a late runner, who first arrived to power to shoot in a right corner beyond Zack Stephen’s dive.

Arngo also did a defensive legwork to install another for San Jose when he closed on Chidoji Azim and then blocked the defender’s effort withdrawal.

From there, Arngo rejected the ball and moved to Stephen, then twisted a surprised chip on the goalkeeper’s head and then returned under the crossbar in the 67th minute.

It pulled the Colombian into a three-wave tie in a three-wow tie with the MLS scoring list of Hugo Cupers of Chicago and Tai Bribo of Philadelphia.

San Jose was satisfied to defend his lead from there, and when Colorado sent a greater number forward, there would rarely get a clear-cut opportunities.

The rapids were scorers for the fourth time, and for the first time since April 5, despite stopping a man with the last minute. Quake substitute Noel Buck had to leave with an injury in the 89th minute and San Jose had already used all its replacement windows.
