Chennai Super Kings star Shivam Dubey helps debutant athletes, donates 7 lakh rupees …




In a heart -warmer gesture, India’s all -rounder Shivam Dubey on Tuesday promised to provide Rs 70,000 to 10,000 to 10 budding athletes from Tamil Nadu. Dubey, who played for Chennai Super Kings, decided a touch during the Tamil Nadu Sports Journalist Association awards and scholarship ceremony in Chennai. The reward of Dube was in addition to a scholarship of Rs 30,000 given by TNSJA. “When I was traveling at the site from Team Hotel, Dr. Baba (TNCA Secretary) told me that it was an attempt to help some youths here. Therefore, it is actually encouraging for all young athletes,” Dube said during the ceremony that CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan also participated.

The cricketer, who was part of the India’s T20 World Cup 2024 winning squad, said that such awards, although small in nature, would serve as an inspiration to bring laurels to the country for young athletes.

“These small things provide them with additional inspiration to work hard and take pride for the nation. I have seen such an initiative in Mumbai, but I am not sure about other states. I will definitely tell other states to start such programs.

“It may look like a small amount of Rs 30,000, but it acts as an incentive. When you are young, every money and every award really matters,” Dube said, Dube said, who was the chief guest during the work.

The talents who were awarded the scholarship were: PB Abhinand (Table Tennis), KS Vannahinisa Sri (Archery), Muthumana Vailasamy (Para Athletics), Shamina Riyaz (Squash), Jayant RK, S.
