Charlotte FC on Wednesday announced the transfer of defender Joao Pedro and Forward Iuri Thawres.
22-year-old Pedro, the Polish top-flight side, went to Radom, with Charlotte maintained 40 percent cell-on clause.
24-year-old Thawres, Croatian Top-Flight Club NK Varzdin with 20 percent cell-on clause.
Pedro, Brazil’s Pedro 2024, appeared in eight matches for Charlotte in all competitions.
“This permanent step for JP is in the best interest of both the player and the club,” said General Manager Joran Knett. “We will wish him all the best in the rest of our career.”
Cape Verde International Thawres had three goals and one in assistance in 2024–25 to 33 MLS matches (eight starts).
“He showed that he was at the level of the first team and both on the pitch and outside were a great professional,” Cret said about Taras. “At this point in our career, a step for the time of playing continuously is important and we wish Iry in our career.”
