Charlie Morton killed 10 in five innings and Baltimor Oriols overtook Los Angeles Angels and two long weather delays to win 2–0 on Friday night in a three-game series opener.

Morton (3-7) was faster than the gate-go, but did not return after the delay of rain in the fifth floor. He allowed five hits and released a walk, which became the first pitcher in Orools history to produce two games with 10 or more strikes in five or less innings.

Angels Starter Jack Kochanoviz (3-8) also did not return after the fifth-inning stoppage. Two out of four hits, he surrendered in 4 1/3 innings, who went for a solo home run.
The game started after a delay of 70 minutes. The first two batsmen of the game reached the base before Morton was out of the next three, including Mike Trout.
The 10th Homer of O’Harn’s season reached the second place. He added a double added to the eighth.
