CF Montreal Top New York City FC for the first win of the season

Prince Ovsu scored a single goal to visit CF Montreal in a 1-0 win against New York City FC on Saturday, snatching Montreal’s season-opening Wineless Streak.
For Montreal (1-8–3, 6 digits), this is his first road win against New York after August 1, 2015.
The loss of defeat in six matches as a host for New York (5-5-2, 17 points) was in this season this season.
Owusu gave Montreal its first lead of the season in the 48th minute. Owusu gathered the ball to the right of the box and cut the inward, stopped at the top edge before firing a left-leg strike that defeated New York goalkeeper Matte Freeze far away from the net.
The target was the third of the German Forward team-season, which was half of Montreal’s total on the campaign.
Nathan Saliba came close to doubling the lead in the 51st minute, with a shot from the right side of the box that shut down the crossbar.
Montreal’s goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois preserved the profit in the 72nd minute when he came out of its line at the top of the target area to surfaced to a quick strike from Alonso Martinez.
Visitors dominated aggressively in the first half, raised 11 shots attempts, earned four corners, but continued to change the club’s season-length conflicts as they failed to achieve a past freeze.
In the 22nd minute, a piece of Ziakomo Vriyoni’s header was found on a cross from David Bugaj to deflect Fras on the net.
New York had the opportunity to open the scoring in the 12th minute. New York led a Montreal corner out of the box, and Martinez was fed for a break -paw. Sirois came to the top of the 18-yard box to remove the ball from Martinez, which then missed a wide left on a rebound.
Martinez was refused again at a focused feed from Andres Peria in the 20th minute, but Montreal defender Joel Wateman slid to widen the ball of the left post.
