Celtics star Jason Tatam injured, led to MRI

Boston star Jason Tatam on Monday night maintained a right leg or ankle injury on hosts New York Nix on a late noncontact play in Keltics’s Game 4, and he would undergo an MRI exam on Tuesday.

Cultics coach Joe Mazullah said that Nukh took a 3–1 lead in the Eastern Conference semi-final series that Tatam had a “lower body injury”. Mazullah said, “He is going to get MRI tomorrow. He is now with doctors.”

Asked whether he knew whether Tatam had hurt his ankle or his Akilis Kandra, Majullah replied, “We would get MRI tomorrow and we will go from there.”

Tatam was hurt when the team partner Jayalan Brown trapped the ball and Tatam made an attempt towards this. OG Anunobi ended the play with a sting to give New York a nine-point lead N route to win the Eastern Conference Semi-final competition.

The Tatam was in pain in the court and called his timeout before catching with the remaining 2:58 on his ankle. They were helped to remove from the floor kept above the ground with their right leg and were later pushed into the locker room on the wheelchair.

Nix’s coach Tom Thibodo said, “I never want to see a player hurting. He has been a great player and he is a great man, so I hope it’s not a serious injury.”

Tatam raked 42 points, eight rebounds, four aids, four theft and two blocks in the game. He knocked on seven 3-pointers.

Saze will try to close the best-seven series in Game 5 on Wednesday in Boston.
