Cards remain hot, trim tumbling cub ‘NL central lead

Masen Vinen hit a two-run homer and two-run doubles on Tuesday night to power St. Louis Cardinals to go to Chicago Cubs.
Lars Nutbar added a single shot to St. Louis, a two-run homer and Nolan Gord, who won the seventh time in eight matches, shutting off the National League Central-Leiding Chicago’s 2 1/2 game.
Cardinals Starter Michael Makgrivi conceded five runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings. Reliever Steven Matz (4–2) won and Ryan Halesley closed ninth place for his 15th Save.
Seya Suzuki hit a three -run homer, Nico Horner collided with a two -run explosion and Kail Tucker ran into two for the cub, who lost for the fifth time in his last six matches.
Chicago has allowed 54 runs in that period.
The cub starter Jameson Tellan (7-5) conceded eight runs on eight hits and two runs in four innings. He hit three.
Cardinals proceeded 2–0 in the second innings. Wilson Contraras hit a leadoff single and Nutbar chased with his homer with a right-center.
Chicago proceeded 5–2 in the third. Hornar and Matt Shaw started singles with an innings. Ian Hap, after walking an out-out to load the hideouts, Tucker hit a two-rise single and Suzuki launched his homer at the left.
Cardinals cut their deficit 5–4 at the bottom of the inning when Brendon Donovan hit a single and Vinen pushed his homer in the left-center.
St. Louis took an 8–5 lead in the fourth. Gordeman launched a rally with the center for a homer, the 21st Talel has allowed this season.
Pedro pages went a double hit, Victor Scott II went and Vinn hit a tiebreaking to double hit, then Vinn scored from second place on Alex Burlson’s sacrifice fly. The center fielder Pete Crow-Armestrong caught the ball on the wall but obviously thought it was third.
Chicago cut his loss at 8-7 on Dansbi Swansan’s single and the sixth place on the home run of the Hornener.
The cub secured second and third place with two outsiders in the ninth, but Helsley got Swanson third Basman Nolan Arenado to hit game-ending chopper.
