Cardinals put Jordan Walker (Calaiya) on 10-day IL

St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker was placed on Saturday due to inflammation of the left wrist in the 10-day injury list.

This step is retrospective on Thursday.

Walker also recalled the game of Friday night against Rangers along with batting practice, before the team decided the move before the Saturday road game against Texas.

“I don’t think it’s going to be more than 10 days,” said Oliver Marmol, manager of Cardinals. “We will return him very soon.”

The 23 -year -old Walker is batting only .215 with three homes and 23 RBI in 47 matches this season.

However, he performed well in his last 12 matches by batting. 333 (11 -for -33) with a home run and 10 with RBI.

Jordan was selected in the first round (21st composite) by St. Louis in 2020. He has a .247 career average with 24 Homer and 94 RBI in 215 sports in three sessions.

Cardinals promoted outfielder Ryan Wilde from Triple-e Memphis in a compatible trick. Vilade was batting. 280 with five homeers and 31 RBI in 48 games.

The 26 -year -old Vilde has spent time in large companies with Colorado Rockies (2021) and Detroit Tigers (2024). He batted with one Homer and five RBI in 20 games. 157.

St. Louis also recalled Rodren Munoz from Memphis and the fellow right -handed Gordon Gracefo was chosen for the same colleague.

Munoz did 7.71 ERA in four relief appearances for the first cardinals of this season. Gracefo was 2–0 with 7.47 ERA in nine performances with St. Louis.
