Cardinals pull the eighth-inning rally, claiming Doubleheader’s Game 1 against White Sox.

St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday scored three runs in the eighth innings to win 5-4 against hosts Chicago White Socks in a doublehead opener.
Cardinals conceded two runs on six hits in five innings starting pitcher Eric Feddes. Reliever Andre Granillo (1–0) finalized the seventh place to win, and Ryan Halesley threw an ideal ninth place for Save.
White Sox Starter Scene Burke gave two runs on four hits and threw seven in 5 1/3 innings. Chicago has lost seven directly.
St. Louis held a rally to take a 5-4 lead in eighth position from Came Bucers (1-4). After Alec Burnson was opened with a single, Wilson Contraras launched a fastball in the left-saint field seats to tie it 4–4.
Nolan Gordeman arrived at a throw error and finally scored on Yohel Pozo’s single to put the cardinals in front.
