Cardinals face brooers, try to stop the six-game losing streak

St. Louis Cardinals will turn to the right-handed Andre Pallantte, when they will try to snap a season-high-game lose on the season-high-game losing on Saturday afternoon.

Pallante (4-3, 4.75 ERA) will oppose the left-handed Jose Quintana (4–1, 2.66).

Bruers on Friday night took the second game of four-game series 3–2 behind Freddy Paralta, who allowed one run in six innings. William contraras entered a pair of runs for Milwauki. Cardinals scored a run in the ninth, which fell away from the Trevor Megil, but trapped the tying run on the second base.

“It’s a difficult stretch,” said Oliver Marmol, manager of Cardinals. “We had a really good stretch, and now we are learning some things. We have found to find a way through it.”

“This (smelly), don’t misunderstand me,” he said. “But there has been a good conversation that has come out of it, and we will be better for it. But some people are not feeling it yet, and we have to continue grinding. It’s not ideal, but it is part of 162.”

Since losing 10–9 in Toronto, Cardinals have just four runs in their last three matches.

Palants, who have not won since 16 May, have 2–1 with 5.26 ERA in their final seven. He is 0–0 with 7.84 ERAs in two initial in June, giving nine runs in 10 1/3 innings.

His 4.75 ERA is almost a complete run compared to the previous season, when he was 8–8 with 3.78 ERA. Palalante 13 career performance is 0–1 against Milvauki with 5.16 Era, but only one beginning.

Alec Berlson made two hits for cardinals on Friday, his fourth multi-hit game in his last 12, and is batting .357 during that period.

Milwauki improved in 6-26 while scoring three runs or less. Broovers are 32–7 when scoring four or more runs.

Quintana will make its third start since coming in the injured list with a left shoulder.

He is 0–0 with 2.70 ERA in his last two beginnings, with a total of three runs in a five-inning outing. Last Saturday, in his most recent outing, Bruers defeated San Diego Padress 4-3 on the Walkoff Homer of Kaleb Durbin in the ninth.

“We have been playing better baseball for the last three weeks,” Quintana later said. “As soon as I came here, I knew that we had a very good group here, and now we are starting to show it. So being a part of it is amazing.”

Quintana, signed as a free agent before the season, was 4–0 with 1.14 ERA in his first four initials with Broovers. He is 7–4 with 3.81 ERA in 15 careers against cardinals, including a 7–1 win in late April, making a run on five hits in five innings.

Year Flick did two hits, scored two runs and on Friday he had a 13th theft base. In his last 20 matches, he is hitting .329.
