Cardinals aim to flex the muscles in the clash vs. cub

For two nights, St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Chicago cub in their own power-touching game.
In the first two competitions of the four-game chain in St. Louis, the Cardinals beat seven homeers by beating the cub 8-2 and 8-7. He has won seven of his last eight matches to go within 2 1/2 games of the National League Central-Leiding Cub.
St. Louis will continue to roll against Chicago on Wednesday night.
“Our people continue to play every pitch with a ton of the heart,” said Oliver Marmol, the manager of the cardinals. “We feel good about our people that they are good batsmen and are able to throw some runs.”

The cubs have lost five of their last six matches, while 54 runs have been allowed during that period. He will turn to the left-handed Matthew Boyd (6-3, 2.84), who stood on his rotation schedule despite getting out of his previous beginning with his throwed shoulder injury.
Boyd retained the injury, while a hard smash back on the mound. He conceded two runs and two runs on two hits in five innings against Seattle Meriners in a 9–4 defeat on Friday.
He hit six and left after making only 76 pitch.

The cub on Tuesday activated the Religvar Porter Hodge from the 15-day injured list and started Triple-e-Iowa to Pitcher Ben Brown. Hodge was given shelter with a left diagonal stress and a left hip.
