Cardinal-filledes were postponed; Twin bill fixed for Wednesday

The Philadelphia Philos’ game against St. Louis Cardinals was postponed on Tuesday due to rain in the region.

Now, the teams will conclude their three-game set with a day/night doubleheader on Wednesday. The first game will start at 1:05 pm local time and the second will be at 6:15.

The National League clubs opened their series on Monday when Cardinals (23–19) won 3–2 to increase the line of victory to nine, the best in Major. Phillies (24–17) won seven of their previous nine before narrow losses.

Pitching schemes for Wednesday’s doubleheader were not yet known. Phillies left-handed batsman Jesus Luzardo (3–0, 2.11 era) was to pitch the cardinals’ right-handed Sunny Gray (4–1, 3.50) on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, a season had already postponed a season for the domestic game of Baltimore Oils against Minnesota Twins.
