Captain Rajat Patidar is cured by injury as great news for RCB, starts batting

According to Espncricinfo, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar started batting after recovering from a finger injury on his right hand. On May 3, during the fielding against Chennai Super Kings, Patidar took the injury. They were recommended to use a splint to protect the finger before evaluating the injury and to avoid training for a minimum of 10 days. RCB is currently second at the IPL points table with eight wins in 11 matches. They need at least two win to assure themselves for a top-two finish.
Two days before their matchup against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Patidar resumed the practice by demonstrating some light throwing before trying a full range of batting movements on Thursday evening.
Patidar has scored 239 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 140.58.
The absence of RCB Batter Devdutt Padikal at No. 3 will also be partially filled with the availability of Patidar. Padical has been sidelined for the remaining IPL due to hamstring injury, and Mayank Agarwal, who is primarily a opener, has been brought to replace him by the franchise.
He scored an average of 27.44 in ten innings and 247 runs at a strike rate of 150.60. This was a significant improvement from his previous season, when he took an average of 5.42 and hit 71.69.
Additionally, due to England’s domestic series against the West Indies starting on 29 May, the RCB opening batter Jacob Bethel will not be available for him throughout the playoffs.
