Capital Coach Spencer Carberry Claim Jack Adams Award

Spencer Carberry of Washington Capital was named the winner of the 2024-25 Jack Adams Award on Saturday.

This honor has been presented to the NHL coach, which has been the biggest contribution to the success of the team.

While participating in what he thought was, there was a season-end interview, the 43-year-old carberry was presented with the award by his wife, KC and his children, Hudson and Vivian.

“Wow, I had no idea,” said a clearly shocked and choke-up carberry.

If it was not enough emotional for Carpy, then there were also there to share the family members of the whole of America and Canada at this time.

Carberry took the capitals in a record of 51-22-9 (111 points) this season as the team finished first in their second season as the coach of Washington. He became the fourth coach in franchise history to win the award, which included Brian Murray (1983–84), Bruce Baudreu (2007-08) and Barry Trots (2015-16).

He is also the first person recognized as the year coach in Echl, AHL and NHL.

Carberry secured 81 first place votes on 103 ballot papers and finished with 464 points. The Scott Arnial of the Vennipag Jets had 249 points, followed by Martial Canadines of Martin St. Louis 66.

Capital lost in the second round of Stanley Cup playoffs, defeated by Carolina Storm in five matches.
