Can IPL 2025 be completed outside India? England great says “All …”




BCCI decided to suspend the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for a week amid growing tension between India and Pakistan. The decision was allegedly taken after concerns shown by both franchisees along with both franchisees. While nothing has been declared concrete about the future of the tournament, IPL sources said that a meeting will be held in a week time to decide about the program of competition along with new places. Former England captain Michael Vaughan suggested that the competition may end in the United Kingdom as it requires all necessary infrastructure. He also said that Indian players may stay back to the upcoming testing series.

“I wonder if it is possible to eliminate the IPL in the UK .. We have all the places and Indian players can then stay for the test series .. Just an idea?” He posted on X (East Twitter).

A decision was taken by the BCCI on Friday after across the border on Thursday night, which led to blackouts in Jammu, Udampur and Pathankot, as air strikes from Pakistan and drones captured the sky. It called the game between Punjab Kings and the capitals of Delhi to the HPCA Stadium in Dharashala, shutting down only after 10.1 overs of the first innings.

Along with the airport in Dharamshala and other North Indian cities, both PBK and DC, along with players and assistant staff members, were fired by a bus, a bus fired by a bus to take the match officials, commentators, broadcast crew members and other major IPL-related personnel to take Jalandhar on Friday morning.
