Bullets shine as the soul, the wave resides for draw

Obre Kingsbury made six savings, including two clutch stops in the last 10-plus minutes, making the visiting Washington Spirit a 0–0 draw with San Diego Wave on Sunday night.

Washington (7-4-2, 23 points) entered the international break with another road point as Kingsbury’s effort helped him improve the road 5–1-1.

San Diego (7-3-3, 24 points) fell 6–1-2 in its last nine matches and goalkeeper Calain Sheridan ended with three saves.

Kingsbury posted the fourth shutout of the season on one night when San Diego controlled the occupation for 65 percent of the competition and attempted 16 shots. He highlighted a shutout with a large stop on Sawana McCel in the 77th minute and threw Canza two minutes later.

Kingsbury made a diving stop near the lower right corner on the well -tried outside the McCscyl’s box. After a free kick, Kingsbury pigeoned his right near the post to stop Dal.

Kingbury saved them after a jump in the 62nd to deny Kimmi Eskanio.

Kingsbury earned a shutout against his 14th separate team and finished this by refusing a corner kick late stop time to Eskanio’s header. This was the 41st shutout in its NSWL career for Kingsbury.

Washington lost two opportunities to score late in the first half when Sheridan denied the gift on Monday. Washington finished around 69th, but Sheridan stopped Crix Bethune’s attempt from outside the box.
