“Bull is taken by horn”: RCB spin bowling coach on batsman Devdutt Padikkal

Next to his side match against Delhi Capital (DC) in Delhi, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) spin bowling coach Malolan Rangarajan spoke on Devdutt Padikkal, so far expressed happiness with his performance and hoped that he stayed with his stability at the end of the tournament. Third in the points table with six wins and three necklaces, and after their first win at home, RCB will aim to avenge a loss at home from red and blue at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. DC is in second place, with six wins and two defeats, give them 12 points. After the season started an up and down for the season, Pudical found continuity as a hard-touch number three and had two consecutive digestions against Punjab Kings (PBK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

So far, in eight matches, Padikal has scored 230 runs for RCB at an average of 32.85, with more than 156 and more than two half -centuries. Last year, after being selected by RCB for Rs 2 crore in the mega auction, Padikkal was well adopted for a counter-attacked role, unlike the opener role, which he scored during his first term with RCB during his first term 2020 and 2021, which included him 473 and 411 respectively, including a century and six fifts.

Speaking during the pre-match pressure, Malolan said that RCB was quoted by a press note that RCB was looking for a left-handed batsman during the auction and it was definitely an advantage that the dictator was batting with RCB before and a lot for him, especially with Virat Kohli.

“When Devdutt was with RCB, he had two stellar years. He scored close to 500 runs. He has an unfortunate runoff in the last three years, but again, the way we prepared in the auction, we were very clear for a left -handed person. Malolan.

He said, “First, the advantage of working with himself and a lot of players, even Virat, even, who has batted a lot with him. Therefore, it is comfort to know that Devdutt is available to help later, number one, as far as the auction is concerned,” he said.

As soon as Devdutt again found himself part of the RCB set-up, he was given a lot of clarity about his role and did a lot of work to correct it.

“He was very hungry and he has taken a lot of technical and strategic views by both Dinesh Karthik and Andy Flower. Exceptionism for both Devdutt and the team,” he said.

Speaking on the captaincy of Rajat Patidar so far, Malolan said that he has done a “tremendous” work so far.

“All the games that he has captained, we have various games, some games where there was not much pressure, and there were sports where the pressure was right, and they have operated themselves in the way where there is complete peace and clarity in decision making, the way they have rotated their bowlers. It shows how good it is this year, and like I said it is a second half.”
