A target and a support by Brittany Ratcliffe won the Washington Spirit 3–1 over northern Carolina courage on Sunday afternoon in the country’s capital.
The victory was the first for head coach Jonatan Girldese as he announced his intention to depart the effective soul from July 18 to lead the French club Ol Leons.
Washington (7-3–1, 22 digits) absorbed the early pressure from visiting courage (3-5–3, 12 digits), before defense committed crime when the soul approved the attempt of courage and took the ball down in four passes.

Within three minutes, the veteran of the United States National Team KC Crugger crossed a pass in the box for Ratcliffe’s head, which sent the ball in front of the goal and to the left of the net.
Courage replied when Manaka Matusukubo pasted a ball to cut a ball in half on the head of goalkeeper Obre Kingsbury.
In the second half, Washington added a target of 30 seconds to about half, the gift scored the third goal of the day for the soul on Monday. This time, from a small corner, Narumi Miura sent a small cross to the back post, which hit the right in the right post on Monday. This was the fourth goal of the season for Monday.
Northern Carolina pressurized Washington in the second half, but two goal-line clearance of Gabrielle Karley held a multi-goal lead for the domestic team.
