Two veteran pitches will be square on Wednesday night when Atlanta Braves hosted Arizona Diamondback in the second game of their three-game series.
Arizona’s right-handed Meril Kelly (5-2, 3.78 ERA) is scheduled to begin against Atlanta left-handed player Chris Sale (3-3, 3.06). Diamondback won the first game 8-3 on Tuesday, even the season series 2-2.
Arizona has won two straight and is within two matches of 500. Braves have lost two consecutive, nine of their last 12, and break-even five games are down.
Atlanta manager Brian Snightkar said, “We have got better to play, we have to do better in all aspects.” “We got to win a solid, clean game to win.”
In his last five roads initially, Kelly is 2–0 with 2.43 ERA and has allowed one run and thrown in four of them in at least five innings. In his last beginning against Washington on Friday, Kelly played five innings and earned six runs on six hits, two walks and six strikes. Arizona lost 9-7.

Lafti Eduardo Rodriguez is currently with the team in the injured list with shoulder inflammation, the team in Atlanta and can start in Cincinnati on Friday.
“(Burns) seems to be in really good souls,” said Arizona’s manager Tori Lovullo. “You are grouping information. We are just trying to find out what the best game plan is moving forward. Nothing has been determined at this point.”
