Braves activate RHP Spencer Sturder from 15-day IL

Atlanta Braves on Monday restored the right-handed Spencer Stider from the 15-day injured list.

The former all-star went to IL on 21 April, with a stressful hamstrings after making just one appearance.

The 26 -year -old Storer is expected to return to rotation on Tuesday as the road begins against the citizens of Washington.

After remembering most of the 2024 after Tommy John surgery, Sturdear started his 2025 on April 16 and gave two runs on five hits in five innings in Toronto. He folded five, one went and faced defeat 3–1.

Sturdear completed the 65-Pic simulated game last week.

In 2023, Sturdear shone in 2023, posting 20–5 records and 3.86 ERAs in the 186 2/3 innings, leading Major with 281 strikes in his first All-Star campaign.

He finished fourth at the National League Cyg Young Award, after finishing second with 11-5 records in 2022 NL Rukie of the Year Race, 2.67 ERA and 131 2/3 innings after finishing second with 202 strikeouts.

In parts of five sessions with Braves, which drafted him in the fourth round in 2020, with a 500 strikeouts with 3.47 ERA (starting from 55) in 68 games with Sturdear 32–11 and 110 walks in 334 2/3 innings.
