Boxer Julio Caesar Chavez Junior arrested by snow officials

Boxer Julio Sester Chavez Junior has been arrested by immigration officials and “being processed to remove the United States quickly,” the Homeland Security Department announced on Thursday.

Chavez is a native of Mexico, where he is the subject of an active arrest warrant for the firearms of his “organized crime and smuggling firearms, ammunition and explosives,” DHS said in a post for the social media site X.

Chavez was arrested on Wednesday by immigration and customs enforcement officers in Los Angeles neighborhood of Studio City.

Last Saturday, Chavez was in Ainahm, California, where the former WBC Middleweight Champion lost a unanimous decision to influence-Boxer Jake Paul.

In assistant documents, DHS states that Chavez is considered associated with Sinaloa Cartel, a nominated foreign terrorist organization once led by the late “L Chapo” Guzman.

DHS said Ice tagged Chavez “egoistic public safety threat” last December, but still entered the country on the California/Mexico border before the inauguration of President Donald Trump in early January.

DHS said in its news release, “Under President Trump, no one is above the law-including the famous athletes,” DHS said in its news release. “Our message for any cartel colleagues in the US is clear: we will find you and you will face the results. The days of uncontrolled cartel violence are over.”

39-year-old Chavez has a 54–7-1 career record with 34 KO.
