Borusia Dortmund closed Mamelodi Sundown in CWC Play

Borusia Dortmund held a late rally by Mamelodi Sundown to win a 4–3 victory at the FIFA Club World Cup in Cincinnati on Saturday.

Dortmund (1-0-1, 4 digits) moved to the top of the group F, a point further from the sundown (1-1-0, 3 digits).

Lebo Mothiba scored in the 90th minute and one cut the sundown deficit, but he did not get another shot before stoppage time.

In the 11th minute, Lucas climbed on the first Saundown board with a goal by Rebero, but the lead was short -lived as Felix Nempa covered the score five minutes later.

Serhou Guirassy put Dortmund ahead 2–1 in the 34th minute, then team partner Jobe Bellingham scored his first goal in his first beginning as the teams were going to Haftime to make it 3–1.

Dortmund raised his lead 4–1 by Sundown in the 59th minute, but the lead was trimmed by Ikram Riers of Sundown 4–2 three minutes later.

Sundowns took advantage of 16–8 in the shot efforts, but Dortmund had more shots on Gol (6-4). Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams had three savings, while Dortmund’s counterpart Gregor Cobel posted a sev.
